Kreaktiva Croatia
The association was founded to improve and advance the status and quality of life for youth in the community and the protection of social rights of other members of vulnerable groups - children, people with disabilities, the elderly, women and the unemployed.

Aim of the NGO is to provide support to community development through capacity building of each individual practical application of modern methods, to strengthen the capacity of non-profit, for-profit and public sectors on the basis of cooperation and partnership in the development of different services on a local and regional level.
We are striving toward a vision - through establishment of good cooperation and linking different sectors we are trying to contribute to development of civil society as a whole.
In the past 3 years we have implemented and also took part in several projects and trainings that partially or fully addressed the topic of this youth exchange which enabled us to work more efficiently with our youngsters but also to create networks with other organizations across Europe in order to bring new knowledge and skills to our communities where we work with young people in rural areas. Sustainability and green topics for youngsters have been in their focus for some time now and we are trying to contribute to this topic together with them.
We have implemented several YE regarding better empowerment of young people and ecology, preservation of nature in our region since it is very important to allow young people to learn more about their role in the society and take action from an early age with support of their peers and other stakeholders in their local community.
We have implemented together with our partners the youth exchange "Climate change as fast as fashion II". The aim of the project is to increase the level of environmental knowledge and awareness of the need to protect the environment through alternative methods according to the environmental realities in the local communities. The project`s theme is climate change and global warming and its main objective is to enable young people and their leaders to work together and strengthen their European citizenship, promoting in the same time inclusion, environment and European awareness. The Project specific objectives were targeting empowerment of the participants European identity and, awareness of the need for social participation to reduce climate change among European citizens. Making young participants to get out of the box giving their own ideas in green entrepreneurship. Encouraging the direct participation of young people from 9 countries and encouraging the adoption of a responsible attitude regarding the reduction of energy consumption and waste. Understanding the differences between nations, making them more united through the meeting between different cultures. Promoting the reduction of environmental pollution and understanding the importance of a healthy living environment among the members of the communities. Sustainable food, energy and generally keeping responsible attitude regarding reduction of energy and wastes.
In order to work more on this topic we have also implemented project "4 rur(E)al youth" with the topic of 7R - Through creative expression and giving old items a new shine, we reduce the waste we produce and accumulate in our homes and closets (Reduce!)- Enabling an individual to learn a new skill, express themselves creatively and use it in the future (Restore!),- Acquiring positive habits and thinking about the choices we make every day when it comes to caring for the environment (Rethink!),- Increase awareness of the reusability of items we use on a daily basis or the conversion of items into new ones with new use-value (Reuse!) - Positive orientation towards recycling objects and encouraging small steps to be taken by participants and possibly all family members (Recycle!) - Active reflection on future actions in the community and individual responsibility of each of the fellow citizens in order to develop a sense of "ownership" and "community" (Regain!) - Give participants a sense of self-esteem, self-confidence and self-worth that comes through valuing their own work, but also tradition and heritage stored in objects that will be restored (a piece of folk costume, old embroidered pillow, knitted bag), and have new shine (Repair!)
During October of 2021, our NGO will implement with our partners - youth exchange Green choice.Through participating in the "Green Choice" project, the youngsters will learn about the importance of active citizenship, independence, critical thinking, innovative based actions in order to increase the welfare of their communities through green initiatives and green business ideas. Therefore, the project aims to promote Green Initiatives and Green Entrepreneurship ideas among youngsters from Curacao, Croatia, and Georgia and to confer on the participants' basic methods to transfer them to their peers and communities from where they come from. We will work together for 8 days, to develop and advance green initiatives and green business ideas, with the goal to advocate about the importance of environmentally friendly business practices.
During the summer of 2021, we have started to implement our youth exchange with our partner from Finland and it will finish in December in Lapland. Youth exchange "One with nature" focuses on the issue that many youngsters are more and more detached from nature and lack a real connection with it. There is much talk about climate change and many young people are taking it seriously and are ready to live more in sustainable ways to do their best to improve things. Still, there are many who do not really understand the topic and it does not affect them personally. Therefore it is very important to experience nature and the impacts of the climate change in more profound ways and if you never leave city and comfort ability you will become more detached from nature. To really appreciate and understand the effect of your own actions one must experience nature and it's power and beauty in real surroundings. The aim is that the participants will get real experience in the wilderness and overcome obstacles and learn skills to survive in nature in respective ways as well as to learn more about the climate change and find ways to spread more ecological and sustainable lifestyle to their families and friends as well. Our project will include workshops about the theme in informal and fun ways but as well a lot of practical skills and nature experiments such as cooking with a fireplace, navigating in the forest, getting to know the plants and their use, and learning about respectful ways to coping in nature. The nature experience can also provide the participants with more resilience towards the challenges that they have been facing during the covid pandemic. It is important to learn about climate change and how serious the situation is but without the burden of not being able to affect things. We aim that the participants will feel empowered to do changes and take small steps towards the right decision in a hopeful attitude.
